The Mazda MX-5 GT Concept is based largely on Mazda MX-5 AOS GT racer, built to compete was in the British GT Championship. The race cars, AOS center exit exhaust and other changes resulting 205 hp, 40 more than stock Miata.
The stripped-down racing MX-5 GT racer has an additional 70 horsepower, which he gets from 0 to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 160 miles per hour.

With the MX-5 GT Concept, AOS hardtop is trimmed in carbon fiber, the interior, and the bearing seats are replaced with strongly enhanced Ricardo buckets. Body color roll bar will remind everyone that this is race car, even though the roll cage ISN, AOT as extreme as the original MX-5 GT.
What the two MX-5 GT is different/ The original, British GT championship car tested is a full-on racer, with some professional competition under his belt. The MX-5 GT Concept is less extreme version, it, AOS down just enough to be irrigated by Street Legal. While the MX-5 GT racer has an interior completely gutted and running on slicks, the term has a simplified interior, and runs on Street Legal, but still good grip tires.
If the MX-5 GT race car is the perfect tool for an endurance race, the MX-5 GT Concept is the perfect tool for track day. Not everyone can afford to race professionally, but the MX-5 GT concept would make good weekend toy for the serious gear. Miata’s are already racers that make them popular in everything from autocross to the Sports Car Club of America, Spec Miata class race AOS.
