Where from Honda Amaze?
After teasing the Indian public for nearly 6 months, Honda India has finally launched Honda Amaze with a starting price tag of Rs. 4.99 lakh for the base petrol model, on to a price of Rs. 7.60 lakh for the top-end diesel model (Ex-showroom, Delhi) . The sub 4-meter compact sedan has been launched in a total of 10 variants, consisting of 6 petrol and 4 diesel models.

Of these models, 2 of the petrol variants, namely the Amaze S AT and VX AT come with a 5-speed automatic transmission, while the rest of the models work with a 5-speed manual gearbox taken from the Brio. In addition to the very aggressive pricing, the Amaze is also offered in 6 colour options and 2 interior colour tones depending on the trim. The Amaze is offered in 2 engine options namely, the 1.2-litre i-VTEC, 86.7bhp petrol engine and the 1.5-litre, i-DTEC Earth Dreams, 98.6bhp mill. The company claims that the Amaze has a best-in-segment interior and boot space, of which the boot space comes to 400 litres. The Amaze has been made available in 6 colour options including Black, Silver, White, Azure Grey, Carnelian red peal and Blue.

benefit of Honda Amaze

The Amaze qualifies for the excise duty benefit, enjoyed by small cars in India and directly takes on Maruti Suzuki's Swift DZiRE, which is the current undisputed segment leader. At present, any car with a petrol engine capacity under 1,200 cc or diesel engine under 1,500 cc, but length shorter than four metres, attracts an excise duty of 12 per cent.
